STARTERS, MAIN COURSES AND WINTER SPORTS

Stay fit and keep in shape while skiing!
Here are a few practical tips to help you prepare for your season and set off in peace!

A good diet is essential in the mountains. The combination of the altitude and cold require a higher calorie intake. It is therefore essential that you eat well.

Start off with a solid breakfast: bread, butter, jam, cereals, fruit... don’t hesitate to fill up on calories. You should eat a large, varied breakfast.

At lunchtime, take a good break in one of the high mountain restaurants and recharge your batteries with starchy food that has a high-energy value (rice, pasta etc.).

And even if you are tempted by blackcurrant tart or cake, don’t fill up too much.

It’s fine to keep snacking throughout the day on things like cereal bars or dried fruit, whenever you get the urge...

Remember, skiing burns up a lot of calories! Finally, don’t forget to drink (water!) as like any other sport, you will get dehydrated!
